Virtual Reality Gaming Club: Gorilla Tag! (Meta / Oculus Quest Headset Required)

DESCRIPTION

Run, climb, and jump in VR using a unique locomotion method that only needs the movement of your hands and arms. No buttons, no sticks, no teleportation. Push off of surfaces to jump and squeeze them with both hands to climb. Parkour up trees and cliff faces to evade and chase people down.

VR ONLINE SAFETY

While this class is about socializing and having fun with peers it is also a chance for learners to learn how to interact with others in VR in a responsible, respectful way. Guild of Imagination Virtual Masters are there to give guidance and to show that we should all show the same kindness online and in VR that we do in real life.

Let’s face it, the world of online gaming in VR and out is not always the safest for our learners. Guild of Imagination provides a safe place for your kid to meet other children their age around the world all while interacting in ways never before possible. And the best part is that this experience is in a safe place where they can have fun and not worry about the dangers of online gaming.

The Pencil Spaces chat function is continuously checked by our Virtual Masters during class. So if you’re learner needs something, or can’t find their way around a map they should type in the chat so the Virtual Master can help them with their needs!

At the start of each class we will join a private room with a room code we generate and a gamer tag may be necessary to share with the teacher only. During class learners will be required to have their microphone on and volume down on their Pencil Spaces meeting device. They will also be required to be in front of the Pencil Spaces meeting on their computer during class.

Because this is an ongoing club, learners will be able to drop in and out as their schedule requires.

SERVERS AND REFUNDS

Gorilla Tag is played in a private room created each class. Please remember not to share your gamer tag in the classroom or live meetings – Gamer tags should only be sent privately to your teacher. This ensures a safe environment for each learner enrolled in the class.

While you are enrolled we will provide a 50% refund, or transfer to another section within the same week (if available), with 24 hours notice of an upcoming absence. This will save a learner’s spot in the class for a week they can’t attend.
